Nita Mode Fowler, age 59

Nita Mode Fowler, age 59, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

Born January 4, 1958 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Gene Mode Sr. and Clara Laws Mode Hames. She worked as the office manager for H & M Industries for many years and was a member of Grace Chapel Four Square Church in Forest City. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed vacationing in Pigeon Forge.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, William Hudson and wife, Amy of Ellenboro and Elvis Hudson and wife, Brandi of Forest City; one brother, Gene Mode Jr. and wife, Sue, of Forest City; three granddaughters. She is also survived by one uncle, Kenneth Laws and wife, Crystal of Forest City.

The funeral service was conducted at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ricky Poteat and Reverend Paul Willis officiating. Interment followed in Alexander Cemetery.
