Oliver John "Jay" Hill, Sr., age 91

Oliver John "Jay" Hill, Sr., age 91 of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018.

He was a native of Rutherford County and a son of the late Ellis Wigmore Hill and Della Conner Hill. Jay was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and retired from Fieldcrest Mills. His wife, Pearl Street Hill and sons, Oliver John Hill, Jr., Charlie Gene Hill and Danny Lee Hill all preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Hill and wife Jean of Mooresboro, three daughters, Martha Hill Parker of Mooresboro, Ann Hill Elliott of Cleveland TN, and Lisa Hill Bradley of Mooresboro, two brothers, Bill Hill of Ellenboro and Ralph Hill of Union Mills. There are 12 grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at The Padgett and King Chapel. Rev Steve Beam officiated. Interment followed in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
