KidSenses Children's Interactive Museum partners with Partnership for Children of the Foothills for a fun all-day reading event at the museum on Fantastic Friday free admission day, July 7 KidSenses Children's Museum and Partnership for Children of the Foothills recognize how important reading is for early childhood development. Reading is fun, informative, and necessary for children of all ages. It's especially important that children start reading early, as it is very beneficial for early brain development. Reading helps children build vocabulary and learn about the world around them. Studies show that children who are read to, and who also learn to read at an early age are more likely to find success throughout their lives.

The free fun programming will be available between 10 am - 4 pm at various interactive stations in the museum, including:

• 10:00-10:30AM Read Along at the Alphabet Trail: Come and enjoy farm-themed stories with your friends from Partnership for Children of the Foothills. Sign up with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and receive your free book for children ages five and under.

• 11:00-11:30AM The Hungry Caterpillar and Friends Story and Craft Time in Creation Station: Eric Carle's imagination and your child's creativity combine in this fun art and reading time with the Hungry Caterpillar and his friends.

• 1:00-1:30PM Community Friends Story and Crafts in At Your Service: Meet us at the fire truck to learn more about our community friends and the jobs they play. Listen to fun stories about fire rescue, learn the importance of stop, drop and roll and more fire safety tips.

• 2:30-3:00PM What Pet Shall I Get? Reading Fun in Pet Senses: Love Clifford and Arthur's little pet Pal? Hear some fun adventures while we explore how to care for our pets through story and activities.

The Partnership for Children of the Foothills exists to build and sustain partnerships with community agencies and service providers that build a strong foundation for children's learning and development by strengthening families, the early education system and the community.
