A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Margaret Johnson Yother. She was a former restaurant cook.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Sims of the home; daughter Misty Sims of Rutherfordton; son Keith Sims of Kings Mountain; three grandchildren Brooklyn Sims Vance, Coty Doty and Mallory Sims; brother Danny O’Rourke of Forest City.
