Paulette Ruth Rhody Garis

Paulette Ruth Rhody Garis, passed away June 19, 2015.

Born May 1, 1944, to Clinton Paul Rhody Jr. and Ruth Irene Tabor Rhody in Rutherford County, N.C., Paulette graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1962. Before she retired from a long career, she worked at Interstate Securities Corp. from 1972 to 1987, then as vice president of Corporate Bond Group in Charlotte until 1997.

Paulette loved books, dogs, traveling, and talking about news and politics. A generous and considerate lady, Paulette enjoyed making other people feel comfortable and happy. She was preceded in death by her parents; numerous aunts and uncles; her schnauzer, Heidi; and her Welsh corgi, Prissy. Surviving are her sister, Dolores Rhody von Kolnitz; nieces and their husbands, Francesca and Chris Fowler, and Cece and Scott Nunn; great nephews, Garrett and Cameron; and great nieces, Isabelle and Flannery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rachel Keever, Dr. Natalie Abala, the employees of Henderson Care Center Inc. for the care Paulette received there, and her friends at the OneSource physical therapy clinic, who she enjoyed talking to each week day.

Services were held in the chapel of The Padgett & King Mortuary, with Reverend K. Wesley Judy officiating. Interment was held in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
