Pauline "Polly" Bailey, age 77

Pauline "Polly" Bailey, age 77, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.

Born April 9, 1939 in Rutherford County, she was the only daughter of the late Wendell Johnson and Alice Coffey Johnson. She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School, class of 1957 and a past member of Alexander Baptist Church. Polly worked for General Fireproofing for many years and then for J.C. Cowan and Mastercraft before retirement. She took pleasure in doing yard work and gardening. Polly was a devoted mother and loved taking care of her children. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cherry Lynn Bailey.

Survivors include her son, Randy Bailey and daughter, Robin Bailey both of Forest City. She is also survived by a special friend, Lillian G. Phillips of Rutherfordton.

A graveside service was conducted at the Alexander City Cemetery with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating.
