Peggy Ann Norman, 78

Peggy Ann Norman, 78, a resident of White Oak Manor, Shelby, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She was the former wife of Larry Dean Anthony. 

A native of Shelby, she was the daughter of the late John Norman and Clara Beam Norman. She was a graduate of Shelby High School and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Deana Lee Anthony Phillips and husband David Milton Phillips, Jr.; two grandsons, David Joseph Phillips and Daniel Anthony Phillips of Shelby; two sisters, Louise Norman Burch of Forest City and Carol Norman Jenkins of Gastonia. 

Ms. Norman was preceded in death by two brothers, John Norman and Ben Norman; three sisters, Sara Lee Norman, Betty Norman Eskridge and Geraldine Norman Weaver. 

A Celebration of Life Service was held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Oliver officiating. 

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of White Oak Manor of Shelby for the care they provided to Ms. Norman.
