Peggy Jean Vickers Weeks, age 75, of Rutherfordton passed away Monday November 9, 2015.
Peggy was a native of Rutherford County, a retired seamstress and a member of Second Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.
She was preceded in death by her parents Buford Lealand Vickers and Mary Belle Ensley Vickers, a brother Millard Vickers and a daughter Deborah Jean Weeks.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years Rupert Spencer Weeks; daughter Vicki Lynn Abernathy and her husband Keith of Inman, SC; son Ricky Lealand Weeks and his wife Myra of Rutherfordton; sisters Sylvia "Donnie" Downey of Rutherfordton, Mary Waters and her husband Larry of Golden Valley, Sandra Hughes and her husband Steve of Forest City; sister in law Joyce Vickers of Maiden, NC; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County.
Crowe's Mortuary & Crematory is assisting the Weeks family.
