Phyllis Callahan Frazier, age 78

Phyllis Callahan Frazier, age 78, formerly of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012. 

A native of McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late William and Bessie Ayers Callahan. Phyllis was a graduate of the Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sandra Frazier and husband Eddie Rivera of Estero, FL; son Robert Frazier and wife Lori of Houston, TX; two sisters Shan Ferguson and husband John of Folley Beach, SC and Maye D’Amico and husband Louis of Asheville; brother Michael Callahan and wife Sheila of Newton, NC; sister in law Lillian Frazier of Rutherfordton; and four grand dogs, Maggie, Ingra, Sienna and Sierra. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Frazier.

Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary. Interment followed at Calvary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 224 Chimney Rock Road, Rutherfordton or Norris Public Library, 132 N. Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
