The Raleigh Ringers, an internationally acclaimed concert handbell choir, is performing at the Foundation Performing Arts & Conference Center in Spindale on Aug. 30, 2015, at 3 p.m. Based out of Raleigh, this one-of-a-kind handbell choir will thrill the audience with its unique interpretations of sacred, secular and popular music. Each piece is arranged especially for handbells, wielded by this group of wonderfully entertaining performers.

The Raleigh Ringers performs on one of the most extensive collection of bells and bell-like instruments owned by any other handbell ensemble in the world. Past audience members said "their joyous sound was beautiful to hear and amazing to watch" and "the Raleigh Ringers have proven themselves masters." Attendees of their upcoming Aug. 30 show are sure to be dazzled by their reworking of classic favorites including modern hits such as "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult.

The Raleigh Ringers don't limit their talent to stage performances - they also promote their art by commissioning composers to write music specifically for handbell choirs. So far, they have commissioned over 115 arrangements, making a significant impact on the world of handbell music. The Raleigh Ringers are also known for supporting and encouraging fellow handbell musicians and offering educational opportunities through classes and event sponsorship.
