Ralph Delano Jones, age 87

Ralph Delano Jones, age 87, of Forest City, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019.

Ralph was born on June 29, 1932 in Jackson County, NC to the late Preston David Jones and Callie Sorrells Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters and a grandson.

Ralph worked in textiles for many years and was also a former Associate Pastor of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. He loved to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved to read his bible.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 67 years, Norma McCall Jones; one son, Mike Jones (Teresa), of Conover; two daughters, Cathy Jones Swink (Paul), of Forest City; and Denise Jones McCraw (David), of Mooresboro; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to WM Department of Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church, 2466 Cove Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
