Ralph Lee Brooks, age 80

Ralph Lee Brooks, age 80, of Forest City, NC passed away Friday, November 27, 2015.

A native of Jackson County, NC, he was the son of the late Lee Washington Brooks and Winnie Cooper Brooks and widower of Sue Brooks. Ralph was a graduate of Georgia Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in textile engineering and retired from AGI after many years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a member of the sanctuary choir and hand bell choir for many years.

Survivors include his son, Michael Brooks of Union Mills, NC; a daughter, Leanne Brooks Bushnell and her husband Steve of Lincolnton, NC and a grandson, Aaron James of Gaithersburg, MD.

A private graveside service was held in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Ministries of First Baptist Church, 21 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043 or Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
