Ray "Hamburger" White, age 75

Ray "Hamburger" White, age 75, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017.

Born September 12, 1941 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late John Sullivan White and Laura Ann Queen White. He was a graduate of Cool Springs High School, class of 1959. Ray was an insurance and advertising salesman for many years. He enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel music and loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Donald White and three sisters, Fern Vegoren, Janice Lowery and Dot White.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Sharon Blanton and husband, Dean, Lisa Taylor and Christy Day all of Forest City; one sister, Sybil Whiteside of Green Hill; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was conducted at the Epicenter Church with Reverend Joseph H. Dutton officiating.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
