Ray William Jones, 85, of Cliffside, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
Funeral services were held at State Line Baptist Church.
A native of Rutherford County, he was born on April 15, 1926, a son of the late Berry William and Alice Robinson Jones.
He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II, serving in the Pacific.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wood Jones. He is survived by two sons, Larry Jones and wife Tootie of Mooresboro and Bob Jones of Cliffside; three daughters, Rita Jones of the home, Janet Jones Cash and husband Jimmy of Gaffney and Martha Jones Lawson of Forest City; six grandchildren, Jennifer Cash Bowen, Angie Cash, Suzanne Jones Byars, Matt Jones, Jacob Lawson, and Sabrina Lawson; eight great grandchildren.
McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home is serving the Jones family.
