Rebecca Dale Atkins, age 75

Rebecca Dale Atkins, age 75 of Lattimore, NC passed away Monday, December 14, 2015.

She was born September 10, 1940 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late James Albert (Jim) Dale and Olema Beheler Dale. Rebecca worked for many years at Metrolina Plastics in the Quality Assurance Department. Following her retirement, Rebecca enjoyed being a caretaker sitting with elderly patients in their homes. She was also a graduate of Cool Springs High School and attended Bethel Memorial Baptist Church at Grassy Pond.

Survivors include two sons, Duane Atkins and wife Louise of Rutherfordton and their children, April Wease and Athena Melton, Tim Atkins and wife Tammie of Lattimore and their son, Timothy Atkins, and a daughter, Julie Ledbetter and husband Carl of Rutherfordton and their children, Kari and Kasey Ledbetter. There are also five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Harold Bradley officiating.

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
