Richard Earl McClellan, age 71

Richard Earl McClellan, age 71, of Rutherfordton, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017.

He was the son of the late Earl Jackson McClellan and Alma Conner Taylor. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Richard worked as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by: One sister: Patricia Barnes and her husband Thomas of Arden, NC. Three nieces: Sherry, Misti and Christy. Three great nieces and two great nephews.

The Funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dean Baughn officiating. Interment was held at Montford Cove Baptist Cemetery with Military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
