Richard Morgan was born on September 27th, 1924 in Linden, New Jersey. He passed away on March 20, 2014.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Josephine; first wife, Lorraine Morgan; and, sister, Gloria Nabors. 

He is survived by his second wife, Marguerite Morgan; son, Keith (Paulette) Morgan; daughter, Gail (Joe) DiPaola; Stepson Juergen Dahl; grandchildren, Ian and Adam Morgan.  Richard attended Dickenson High School in Jersey City, NJ. 

He served in the Marines Corps on the aircraft carrier Ticonderoga as a gunner during World War II and was one of the first Americans to enter Japan at the close of the war.  He attended university at Keene State College and Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and received a Masters degree in Education from Columbia University in NYC.   He was an elementary school teacher for 48 years, with most of his career at school # 8 in Oceanside, NY. Richard’s hobbies included painting, tennis, golf, and music. He played various musical instruments in many marching bands and many community orchestras.  He will be sorely missed.  

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. 

Crowe’s Mortuary & Crematory is assisting the Morgan family.
