Robert Lee Leverett, Sr., age 81

Robert Lee Leverett, Sr., age 81, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Robert was born June 24, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late Timmons Leverett and Florence Davis Leverett. He worked for Stonecutter Mill for forty-five years and as a tractor driver for a local sawmill. Robert enjoyed hunting and shooting pool. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Carol Robbins Leverett; son, Robert Lee Leverett, Jr.; brother, Earl Timmons Leverett, Jr.; sister, Frances Robbins and brother-in-law, Barney S. Robbins.

Those left to treasure his memory include his daughter, Kim Mode and husband, Rodney of Rutherfordton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
