Robert Scott Lawson, age 56

Robert Scott Lawson, age 56, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019.

Robert was born November 23, 1962 in Tampa, Florida and is the son of Robert M. Lawson and Betty McCurry who resides in Forest City. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1980 and worked in maintenance at Parker-Hannifin. He also worked as an electrician. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his step-father, William Travis McCurry of Forest City; daughter, Sabrina Ann Lawson of Mooresboro; son, Jacob Lawson also of Mooresboro; a special friend, Kathy Dawn McGuinn; one brother, Richard Lawson and wife, Veronica of Forest City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A private entombment was conducted at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
