Robert Tolhurst age 94

Robert Tolhurst age 94, of Bostic NC passed away on Saturday January 16, 2016.

Bob was the son of the late Charles and Jessie Tolhurst. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Judith Ann Long, and brothers Charles Walter Tolhurst, and Louis Herbert Tolhurst. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years, Helen Claytor Tolhurst; three sons Robert Jr of King George, VA, Dr. John Tolhurst of Bostic, NC, Charles Tolhurst of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Mari Callaway of Port Charlotte, FL; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; Bob was a fighter pilot in the Airforce, serving during WWII with the Flying Tigers in both India and China. Later he graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
