Ronald Dean Boone, age 63

Ronald Dean Boone, age 63, of Mooresboro, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Johnny Twitty Boone and Hazel Hudgins Boone. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in Vietnam & was pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.

Ron is survived by his wife, Patsy Bennett Boone of the home; sons Jeremy Boone and wife Kelly of Forest City and Joshua Boone of Boone; grandson Logan Boone of Forest City; mother Hazel Boone of Rutherfordton; brothers Norman Boone of Caroleen & Arlon Boone of Bostic. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Lepera.

Funeral services were held at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Brewer and Rev. Frank Hyder officiating. Interment followed in Pisgah United Methodist Church cemetery with military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
