Ronald Dewey Willis, 70

Ronald Dewey Willis, 70, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Dewey and Lula Simmons Willis. He was a landscaper, served eight years in the Army National Guard, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Paul Willis and wife Amber, Rodney Willis and fiancée Jennifer Howell, and John Willis; seven grandchildren; sisters, Jane Watkins and Diane Thompson; and the mother of his children, Sharon Willis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Givens.

Funeral services were held at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Stephenson and Rev. Paul Willis officiating. Burial followed in the Southern Baptist Church cemetery.
