Roy Greene, age 73

Roy Greene, age 73, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021.

Roy was born Friday, November 28, 1947 in Gaston County, to the late William Russell Greene and Virginia Caldwell Greene.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Padgett and a brother, Charles Greene.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Patsy Greene Self (Leonard) of Boiling Springs, NC and two brothers, Preston Greene and Ronnie Greene both of Ellenboro.

A private family celebration of Roy's life is planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
