Roy Lee Ramsey, age 78, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Roy was born June 6, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late Thomas Lee Ramsey and Idella Wood Ramsey. He worked for PPG Industries for thirty-eight years before retirement and was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Ramsey; five sisters and one brother.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Pamela Gowan of Rutherfordton and Traci Simmons and husband, Joe of Forest City; two sisters, Lois Payne of Mooresboro and Annie Lou Hodge of Forest City. Four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church. Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
