Roy Lee Robbins, beloved husband, father, grandfather and resident of Forest City, NC went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.

Born May 31, 1944 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late J.C. Robbins and Minnie Wilkie Robbins. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1964. Roy worked as a meat cutter and market manager for Winn Dixie for forty-two years, before his retirement.  He was a devoted husband and father whose Christian faith and love for God showed through to all who knew him.  He was a life-long member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and faithfully attended each service.  He taught the Jr. Boys Sunday School class for many years and enjoyed taking them on camping trips along with riding horses and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Robbins; two brothers, Boyce Robbins and John Robbins and two grandsons, Dustin Robbins and Maeson Robbins. 

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Angela Cole Robbins; daughter, Kymberly Robbins of Forest City; granddaughter, Jessey Spake and grandson, Jacob Horton both of Forest City; two brothers, Joe Robbins and wife, Pat of Sunshine Community and Bruce Robbins and wife, Carol of Forest City.

Funeral services were conducted at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Wade Huntley officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.  

Memorial donations are suggested to WWOL, 1381 W. Main Street, Forest City, NC  28043.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
