Ruby Bostic Silvers, age 90

Ruby Bostic Silvers, age 90 of Ellenboro passed away Monday, May 29, 2017.

She was born on March 8, 1927 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Samuel Leonard Bostic and Ethel Vogt Bostic. Ruby was a graduate of Ellenboro High School and a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church and a former member of the WMU. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and she formerly worked for Doncaster Tanner Companies. Her husband, Robert Silvers preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Rick Silvers of Ellenboro, a daughter, Reggie Silvers Scoggins of Ellenboro, a sister, Lorelei Hightower of Spartanburg, two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Laflin officiating. Interment was private for the family in the church cemetery. The family request that memorials be made to Concord Baptist Church, PO Box 70, Bostic, NC 28018.
