Ruby Harris Bright, age 90, of Forest City, NC, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011. Services were held at Bethany Baptist Church. Internment followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bright was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, James Crawford Bright; her parents, Andrew Jackson Harris and Anna Rhodes Harris; one daughter, Sandra Kaye Champion; three brothers, Otto Harris, Earl Harris, Burl Harris and one sister, Ellen Lowery.
She is survived by five sons, James I. Bright and his wife, Ruby of Rutherfordton, Joe William Bright and wife, Margaret of Forest City, Donald Wayne Bright and wife, Florence of Bostic, Van Douglas Bright and wife, Janice of Forest City and Michael Andrew Bright also of Forest City; two sisters, Cumi West of Charlotte and Bernice Arrowood of Caroleen. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
