Rush Shull Nanney, Jr., 79, of Mooresboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. 

A native of Cleveland County, he was born on April 06, 1933, a son of the late Rush Shull Nanney, Sr. and Georgia Ledford Nanney. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Edessel Kennedy Nanney; one daughter, Tammy Regeana Nanney; two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Nanney; one son, Douglas Keith Nanney; one daughter, Janet Lancaster; three step-sons, Randy Smith, Jim Smith, and Jeff Smith; three brothers, Marvin Nanney, Wayne Nanney, and Hubert Nanney; one sister, Mary Ann Talent; one grandchild, Jesse Lancaster; four step-grandchildren, Sky Smith, Erin Smith, Jonathan Smith and Vanessa Smith.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Nanney was held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Hawkins officiating. 

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Nanney family.
