Ruth Elliott Kurkendall age 79

Ruth Elliott Kurkendall age 79 passed away on Friday July 15, 2016.

A native of Rutherford County she is the daughter of the late Edgar Newton Elliott and Estelle Frazier Elliott was a former employee of the Rutherford County School System and was an active member of Spencer Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Dan Kurkendall, three sons; Stephen Wright and wife Rebekah, Larry Wright and wife Joy and Gary Wright; two stepsons; Daniel James Kurkendall and Phillip Todd Kurkendall, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, one brother Edgar Newton Elliott, Jr. and wife Winnie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Gene Wright and one son Mark Wright.

Funeral services were held at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Caldwell, Dr. Larry Gregg and Stephen Wright officiating. The burial was held in Green Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spencer Baptist Church.
