Ruth Ingle Butler, 85, a resident of Fair Haven Home, Bostic, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. 

A native of Lincoln County, she was born on October 3, 1926, a daughter of the late Sally Turner Ingle. She was a homemaker. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church; she  was a member of the Ruby Brown Sunday School Class, was a nursery worker, greeter and a member of the Bethel Singers.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Rutland Butler; one son, Michael Keith Butler; one daughter, Deborah Ruth Butler; two brothers; six sisters. She is survived by three sons, Wayne Butler and wife Bonita of Shelby, Kippy Butler of Hickory, Charles Butler of Forest City, and Tim Butler and wife Carmen of Ellenboro; three sisters, Margaret Ledford, Thelma Putnam, and Dorothy Smith of Shelby; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Sepaugh and special friends Terry and Brenda Byrd officiating. Burial followed in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.  Memorial donations are suggested to Bethel Baptist Church, Ruby Brown Sunday School Class, PO Box 633, Ellenboro, NC 28040.

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home is serving the Butler family.
