Rutherford County Habitat For Humanity
Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity is currently accepting bids on a closed bid auction with reserve for a 2007 Rocky Mtn. Chalet Park Model Cabin which is located at the Habitat ReStore in Forest City. A long time supporter of Habitat donated the Park Cabin with all proceeds to benefit Habitat’s 2011 build season. This will be a closed bid auction with reserve; starting bid is $26,000. Bids are accepted January 4-31. Bid sheets are available at the Habitat ReStore located at 686 West Main Street, Forest City. Bid sheets need to be returned no later than Monday, January 31 at noon. The Park Cabin will be open for viewing 3pm-5pm, Tuesdays-Fridays. The 12’ x 39’ Park Cabin features cedar paneling interior walls, 29 gauge metal roof, laminate wood flooring, vinyl in bathroom, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, 10x12 carpeted loft, full wardrobe in bedroom, and 2 ceiling fans. The cabin is air conditioned and heated and is in excellent condition. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to remove the cabin from the ReStore property within two weeks of purchase.
