Rutherford Hospital welcomes seven new CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education)

Rutherford Hospital is pleased to welcome our newest CPE Interns: (left to right) Stacey Watkins-Griffith, Wolff Alterman, Kathy Houser, Joe Fugere, Sandra Smith, Eddie Ponder and Karen Doucette.

The heart of CPE is ministry with people and learning from that ministry through reflection, discussion, and evaluation with other students and with a Certified ACPE Supervisor. This dynamic learning group provides opportunities for mutual supervision, care- giving, challenge and affirmation.

Rutherford Hospital is accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc to offer both Level I and Level II CPE programs. ACPE is nationally recognized as an accrediting agency in the field of Clinical Pastoral Education by the U.S. Secretary of Education through the U.S. Department of Education.
