A special treat comes to The Foundation on November 8th. Don’t miss this super event!

The most successful classic crossover artists to ever emerge from Ireland are coming to The Foundation in Spindale on the campus of Isothermal Community College on Friday, November 8th. The Celtic Tenors are a showcase of three brilliant tenor voices which include the natural Irish brogue, classical, folk, Irish Gaelic, and pop favorites. Their blend and presentation are hailed throughout Europe and fast becoming a theatre favorite. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. as this “must see” event.

The best part is that their concert is being presented by our very own Rutherford Regional Health Foundation. Here is your opportunity to witness a fabulous group and give to the community all at the same time. It’s a bargain wrapped in a caring and charitable show. All the proceeds from this concert will be used to provide Rutherford Regional Health System Cancer Patient Navigator services and mammograms for women in the county without health insurance. Additional tax deductible contributions will be gratefully accepted.

Prices for this great event are a bargain. Adults $25 and $30, Youth a mere $5. For tickets and information you can call the box office at 828-286-9990. Box office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This most entertaining group have captivated audiences since the year 2000. What began as a trio of very talented men gathering on the operatic stage has exploded into an international recording and touring package that embraces folk, pop and various other dimensions of the musical spectrum. In addition to their harmonious voices blending and taking the listeners to new heights, the trio is very entertaining with their in between humorous comments on stage. These men just love to sing and entertain. To miss this opportunity to be a part of this magnificent event is to deny oneself.

We are most fortunate to have them appear and for a good cause here in Rutherford County. The trio comprises James Nelson, Matthew Gilsenan and Daryl Simpson, who blend their voices to mesmerize every audience for whom they perform.

Matthew Gilsenan was born into a hard-working family that infused into him the love of singing. Inspired by music from great composers to obscure Irish folk, without a doubt he was born to sing. James Nelson, an original founding father of the Celtic Tenors, has traveled all over the world and offered his talents to the top orchestras.  Daryl Simpson is a musician, as well as tenor from Belfast, who rounds out the group. Each of these three is a gifted singer and all have an impassioned dedication to not only be the best, but also share their harmonious voices in all varieties of song.

This group will, without a doubt, be one of the best ever to grace the stage at The Foundation. How lucky we are  to be given this opportunity. To support this offering and as the same time help Rutherford Regional Health Foundation is truly a rare treat.
