Two Rutherford County schools showed their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and an early detection program offered through Rutherford Regional Health System in October. 

On Oct. 18, students at Rutherford Early College High School joined Rutherford Regional in going pink to support breast cancer awareness and early detection. 

Students at R-S Central High School took part in breast cancer awareness events by making and selling pink ribbons and pink foods such as cupcakes and Kool-Aid. Students raised more than $390, which they donated to Rutherford Regional’s Mammogram Program.
