Framework for Understanding Poverty

Fresh Produce Safety Training

Benefit Golf Tournament

NAMI Rutherford/Cleveland
Will observe Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) by taking part in a statewide balloon launch Sat. Oct. 9, 12PM outside the Orthodontics office of G. Stephen Bell, D.D.S. 492 West Main St. Forest City.  MIAW runs October 3-9 and is an opportunity to learn more about serious mental illnesses such as major depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

The Rutherford County Ford Club is hosting its 4th Annual Hospice of Rutherford County Car/Truck & Motorcycle Show Sat. Oct. 9, 9am-3pm (rain date Oct. 23) at the Old Food Lion Parking lot directly behind Long John Silvers. Proceeds help Hospice of Rutherford County. Coat Drive
During the month of October, the senior high youth of Spindale United Methodist Church will hold a coat drive to raise awareness of homelessness in Rutherford County. “Box City,” the kickoff event held Thurs. Oct. 7, 8pm in the church parking lot.  Collection boxes for coats, blankets & non-perishable foods will be placed at Smith’s Drugs, Spindale Drug & Bi-Lo. Collected items will be given to Yokefellow & Grace of God Rescue Mission.
