Rainbows Christmas
We are offering an exciting opportunity for kids ages 5-14 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Event is free of charge. Any child ages 5-14 who has lost a loved one is invited to Hospice to make their own Christmas ornament in memory of their loved one. We will be making the ornaments on Wed. Car Wash
Rutherford County All-Star Football team will be holding a car wash to raise funds to attend the UFIC football tournament in Greenville SC. Held 11-27,  9am-3pm at McDonalds in Spindale. Also Car Wash & Hotdog sale at Auto Zone, Forest City 11-27, 11am-6pm. Donations appreciated.

Union Mills Learning Center
Each Friday in November, join us for a night of mostly Bluegrass by local musicians. There is also a jam session. Door admission is $5, children under 12 free. Music starts at 7PM. Food concessions available at 6PM. 6495 Hudlow Rd. Union Mills.

Washburn Community Outreach Center
Winter Clothing arriving daily, .25¢ Porch Sale including clothing, house wares & linens. Open Thurs.-Sat., 9am-2pm. WCOC is sponsoring the Back Pack Program at Ellenboro Elementary & East Middle Schools.  Donations of back pack food items would be greatly appreciated. Info: 828-245-5603 or come by the center.

Hospice of Rutherford County
Presenting a workshop entitled “Coping with Grief during the Holidays.” Join us for this session and learn how grief can stop us from enjoying life, especially the holidays, and ways we can deal with the pain that loss brings during this special time. This is a free conference but lunch is provided for a cost of $6. Date: Thurs. Dec.16, 12-2pm at the Carolina Event and Conference Center. Speaker: Dr. Jim Whitlow. Grace of God Rescue Mission
Will be serving Thanksgiving dinner for needy people in the community. If you know of a less fortunate person of family that needs a meal, please invite them to come and eat on Thurs. Nov. 25, 11am. 537 West Main St. Forest City.

Hospice In Need of Items

Blue Christmas
Vegetable Soup and Cornbread Meal Saturday, December 11th, 11:00am-5:00pm at Boiling Springs Rescue Squad. Come out and help spread the Blue Christmas spirit for a needy family at Christmas. Cost is $5.00 plus an unwrapped toy or a food item that can be delivered to a needy family for Christmas. For more information, please call 704-300-7037 or 704-284-4555.

Grace of God Needed Items
