Rutherfordton Police Dept. offers Shop with a Cop

The Rutherfordton Police Department had several families take part in the department's first Shop with a Cop event earlier this month. Families could apply to take part in the event, and had to live in the town of Rutherfordton and be able to separate from their families while shopping. Children were able to purchase gifts for their families and themselves. Corporal Seth Watkins helped one child shop for toys, and other officers who took part included Lt. Clint Ingle, Sgt. Joey Holland, Patrolman Clint Tuttle and others. All the officers said it was heartwarming to be able to help other families at Christmas.
