Samuel Leon Sinclair Sr., 90

Samuel Leon Sinclair Sr., 90, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Claude Fielding and Bessie Hardin Sinclair. Leon retired from Crellin as a Supervisor. He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of Adaville Baptist Church.

Left to cherish Leon's memory is his wife, Elizabeth Justice Sinclair; daughter, Susan Sinclair; son, Mark Sinclair (Kathy); brother, Grady Sinclair; stepchildren, Sheree Crowder (John), Renee Nolen (James) and Tim McEntire (Ramona); six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Randall Sinclair and son, Samuel Leon Sinclair, Jr.

Funeral services were held at Adaville Baptist Church, Spindale. Rev. Jonathan Cobb, Dr. Jim Whitlow, Andy Cobb, Brian Hardin, and Tommy Hardin officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, POB 336, Forest City, NC or Adaville Baptist Church, 805 Oakland Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
