Sandra Roberson “Sandy” Humphries, age 53

Sandra Roberson “Sandy” Humphries, age 53 of Forest City passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014.  

Sandy was born October 22, 1961 in Iredell County and was a Fifth grade teacher at Cliffside Elementary School. 

She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, Gardner-Webb University, & Western Carolina University.  Sandy was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Forest City.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Humphries, 2 sons, Jonathan Humphries & Derek Humphries both of Forest City, her mother, Dorothy Poston Hutchins of Forest City & George Roberson of Belmont, brothers, Jimmy Roberson & wife Lauren of Forest City & Tom Roberson & wife Evelyn of Spindale, & her granddaughter, Laela Humphries.

Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Honeycutt, Reverend J. Anthony Spencer & Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating.  Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
