School holds mock election

Students at Cliffside Elementary recently held a mock election. Students named Donald Trump as U.S. President with 67 percent of the votes, and Roy Cooper as North Carolina Governor with 50 percent of the votes. Students went through the same steps voters do to cast their ballots, from checking in and voting to having their votes counted by precinct officials.
