Senior Center holds Parade of Tables

The Rutherford County Senior Center recently held its third annual Parade of Tables. This year's event featured 21 tables. Table sponsors included Fair Haven, Willow Ridge, White Oak, Brookdale Senior Living, Smith's Drug, Gentiva and Habitat for Humanity as well as staff, board and individual sponsors. Table themes varied from the Big Top to the North Carolina Highway Patrol and puppy love. Entertainment for this year's event was provided by pianist Brianna Cochran, age 12. Each table hostess was given an opportunity to share their table theme, introduce guests and provide information on their organization. Those in attendance received a variety of door prizes. The event served as a fundraiser to help the Senior Center purchase a new piece of equipment for its exercise room.
