Senior Center hosts Second Annual Parade of Tables

The Rutherford County Senior Center held its Second Annual Parade of Tables Feb. 27. The event served as a fundraiser to aid the Center in purchasing a new projector. Sponsors set up their tables in advance of the dinner, including Louann Camilletti with a picnic themed table, and Kim Roberson, whose table bloomed in bright pink. Roberson dedicated the table to her mother, who has dementia. “She was here last year, and is no longer able to come,” Roberson explained. “She loved bright colors, so this how I came up with the table. I planned it for about a month.” Other tables included one from Rutherford Housing Partnership that featured a pink hard hat and a winter themed table. Tickets to the event were $12, and plans are already being made for next year’s event.
