Senior Games Registration Begins

Senior Games registration is March 5-16, 2018. This is for everyone who is age 50 and above for SilverArts, Performing Arts, or Sporting Events. Registration fee is $12 or $10 for first time participants.

New this year we have a special "Jump Start" for Senior Games registration on Thursday, March 8, from 9-12. Everyone who registers for the 2018 Senior Games today will be entered in a drawing for a Senior Games jacket. We will also have refreshments and goody bags for registrants during this time.

Senior Games is in 3 categories- SilverArts, Performing Arts, & Sports Events.

SilverArts are Crocheting, Knitting, Quilting, Woodworking, Jewelry Making, Pottery, Needlework, Paint, Photography, Poetry, Short Stories, Life Experiences etc.

Performing Arts are Vocal, Instrumental, Dance, Comedy/Drama, Line Dance categories.

Sports Events are Archery, Swimming, Bowling, Golf, Horseshoes, Billiards, Table Tennis, Basketball Shoot, Football Throw, Corn Hole, Bocce, Shuffleboard, Softball Throw etc.

This year's SilverArts will be held March 26-29 with SilverArts check in on March 23.

This year's Performing Arts will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1pm (a matinee performance this year).

This year's sporting events will be held April 10-24.

Everyone must register between March 5-16. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Rutherford County Senior Games promotes health and wellness activities throught athletic and artistic endeavors for Rutherford County senior citizens age 50 and above. The Senior Games encourages seniors to stay actice, renew old skills, learn new ones, and exercise a positive outlook on life. Each spring Rutherford County seniors are encouraged to participate in the local games. The medal winners qualify for annual Senior Games State Finals. Senior Games and SilverArts bring together the athlete and artist in a program that recognizes common values: discipline, dedication, and a sense of accomplishment. Rutherford County Senior Games is about Fitness, Fun, Family, Friends, and Fellowship!
