Sgt. Bentley Awarded Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate

Forest City Police Chief Jay Jackson recently presented Sgt. Alex Bentley with her Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate. The Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate is the highest level of professional certification issued by the by the North Carolina Department of Justice Criminal Justice Educations and Training Standards Division. The Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate is awarded to officers who have completed the required years of service, professional training and education. In a letter by Director Stephen G Combs to Sgt. Bentley, Comb's wrote "May I be the first to offer you congratulations on the attainment of the most significant award. Your dedication to your chosen profession is evidenced in the fact that you are one of a very select group of officers to receive this honor."

Chief Jackson commented, "I would like to congratulate Sgt. Bentley on her continued career development. It was an honor to present her with her Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate. We are very fortunate to have her at Forest City Police Department."
