Shane Pruitt, age 47

Shane Pruitt, age 47, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

Born July 24, 1970 in Rutherford County, he was a son to Steve Pruitt who resides in Inman, SC and the late Louise Canipe Padgett. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1988 and worked for Cone Mills-Henrietta Plant for many years. He also recently worked for the Timken Company. Shane enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Alabama Football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory include his step-mother, Lisa Pruitt; life companion, Marsha Nolen; one daughter, Alisha Gallion of Marion and a son, Josh Pruitt of Rutherfordton; two brothers, Lance Pruitt and Dylan Pruitt both of Inman; two sisters, Lisa Leonard and husband, Ricky of Kennedy, Alabama and Kayla Pruitt also of Inman. He is also survived by two special cousins, Eddie Padgett and Lee Padgett.

A private celebration of life honoring Shane will be conducted by the family.
