Shirley F. Ledford, age 78

Shirley F. Ledford, age 78, of Mooresboro, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.

Born April 2, 1940 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late C.H. Davis and Ila Smith Davis. She worked for Stonecutter mill for several years and was a homemaker and caretaker for the family. Shirley enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. She was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Gaston Ledford; a grandson; two brothers, Bud and Chub Davis and a sister, Betty Wilkie.

Survivors include her son, Marc Ledford and wife, Cheryl of Forest City; one grandson and his wife, of Forest City; brother, Paul Davis of Forest City and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was conducted at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Rev Neil Perry officiated.
