Shirley Jean Mosley Wade, age 84

Shirley Jean Mosley Wade, age 84 of Forest City passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.

She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Venoy and Inez Gurley Mosley. Shirley was a homemaker for most of her life and later became a dietician and worked for Rutherford Hospital and Broughton Hospital. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church but was in recent years only able to attend church with family members and services at various nursing homes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Glen Robbins, son Jerry Robbins and his daughter Lindsay Robbins and her husband Bill Wade. Shirley and her former husband, Joe Robbins had six children, eleven grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Robbins and wife Linda of Forest City, three daughters, Linda Jane Robbins Miller of Chapel Hill, Patsy Weast and Tamala Robbins both of Forest City, two sisters, Barbara Watts and husband Glen, and Sally Barker all of Forest City. There are also eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in The Padgett and King Chapel. Interment followed in the Bostic Baptist Cemetery.
