The winter weather Rutherford County experienced two weeks in a row gave folks the opportunity to play outside or enjoy the solitude the winter weather brought. From around the county, here’s how people enjoyed the cold. 

Tanya Brookman, a teacher at Ellenboro Elementary, convinced her children to go to school with her on the optional teacher’s workday by telling them they could play outside in the snow. Here her son, Teagan, is unaware that his sister, Tahlia, is about to throw a snowball at him.
