Stephen Leon Connor, 76

Stephen Leon Connor, 76, of Spindale, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Maggie Lee Cable Connor. Steve was a retired machinist, a member of 2^nd Baptist Church and Rutherfordton Masonic Lodge. He served in the National Guard as a Staff Sergeant.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Steve Connor Jr. and wife Kim of Rutherfordton; two grandchildren; sister, Barbara Freeman and husband Alan of Rutherfordton and brother, Ronnie Connor of Spindale, and lots of wonderful brothers and sisters in law as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Dukes Connor.

Services were held at Crowe's Mortuary. Burial was held in Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
