Stephen Michael Wood, age 75

Stephen Michael Wood, age 75 of Bostic, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020.

Born February 24, 1944 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Cordell and Lillian Mode Wood.

Stephen worked for more than forty years at Hickory Log Barbeque and was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he was a active member of the Methodist Men, the Adult 2 Sunday School Class and had served on various church committees over the years.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sarah Wright Wood, his daughter, Christine Bland and husband Scott of Rutherfordton, his son, Brian Wood and wife Carrie of Ellenboro, his brothers, Ron Wood and wife Patricia of Bostic, and Kevin Wood and wife Debbie of Forest City. There are also four grandchildren. There are also two great-grandsons.

The funeral service was held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
